We are pleased to inform that Robin Guthrie, a great musician, producer and a co-founder of Cocteau Twins will come to Lodz as a part of Soundedit Festival, the International Festival of Music Producers and Sound
Designers. Guthrie, who is also a man behind Bella Union, will meet with the festival audience and take part in workshops run by a great producer, Count.
We are pleased to inform that the group of artists who will visit Lodz during the second International Festival of Music Producers and Sound Designers Soundedit'10 is enriched by:
Peter Hook – legendary bass player, composer and co-founder of Joy Division and New Order. The meeting with Peter Hook, devoted to the lege...ndary album Unknown Pleasures, will take place on Saturday, 11th September. Piotr Metz will host the meeting and Peter Hook will talk about creating the album and will play its fragments live.
Also on Saturday, in the evening, as a part of festival after party in Wytwornia Club, Swedish DJ
and music producer Johan Agebjorn, known for the excellent dance project Sally Sapiro, will present his unusual DJ set.
Sunday evening, 12th September, will belong to new and extremely talented artists. Sweet Billy Pilgrim, an English trio, will perform for the first time in Poland. Their latest album, released by David Sylvian's label, got excellent reviews. At present, the band is touring, enlarging the group of fans. Marcinera Awaria, the group formed by Psychocukier drummer, will support Sweet Billy Pilgrim. Marcinera's debut was released in spring this year.

The event is held under the patronage of: TVP2, TVP Kultura, TVP Polonia, TVP Lodz, Roxy Fm, Dziennik Gazeta Prawna, Machina, Estrada i Studio, Gitarzysta.
Soundedit is the project with a few basic aims:
- we would like to make Lodz a place of annual meetings of the most remarkable music producers and sound designers i.e people whose influence on the sound of music we listen to is equally important as the role of a composer or musicians. The first edition of the festival has shown that there is a great demand for workshops and meetings with masters of sound creation.
- building the prestige of The Man With The Golden Ear Award so that it becomes a well-known and highly desirable award.
- organizing exceptional concerts which will accompany meetings with music producers.
- developing educational activity in the field of music and recording techniques.
- creating in Lodz, a city of rich musical traditions, an annual, important and valued event.
- supporting Lodz's endevours to become the European Capital of Culture.
